As for the Daily Challenges system, this replaces the current Chimera Tribute system. Progression and rewards will still only be tied to the Outposts raided from the standard Raid Map, but now Builders will be able to share their levels without worrying about losing out on standard raid rewards. Every outpost will now always be searchable from the Social Raid menu. The biggest additions in the update will be Social Raiding for every outpost, as well as the introduction of daily challenges. In addition, the developer also dropped hints as to what’s in store for the game’s next major update. The “Rising Tides” Mid-Sector update for Behaviour Interactive’s post-apocalyptic co-op shooter Meet Your Maker is landing next week on August 15th. Motive Studio senior and creative directors Phil Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola did allude in a previous interview to the potential for more Dead Space from the developer, but again, it’s all up to EA.ĭead Space is out now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. Furthermore, if fans are hungry for more Dead Space, then why not take the next step and do an original game instead of a remake? On top of that, it’s not clear that if EA does proceed to remake both games, will Motive Studio will be involved in either project. Gloomwood developer Dillon Rogers posted yesterday on Twitter a survey from EA that asked fans point blank how interested they would be in regards to the developer proceeding with not only a remake of Dead Space 2 done in a similar style to Motive Studio’s remake of the original game, but also its sequel in Dead Space 3.Įlectronic Arts has yet to comment on what their plans are for the series, despite the success and acclaim of the remake. After Motive Studio mused the idea of doing more with Dead Space, it would appear that publisher EA is taking a step towards doing just that. Well, you can’t say that you didn’t see this coming.
